Important Reminders/Common Issues:
- Before plugging into the power outlet, plug in all other devices (USB headset, USB mouse, USB keyboard)
If you plug in the power outlet first then add your devices, you may have to restart a few times for your devices to register. - Adapters for any device, especially for the monitors, can cause issues or not display properly. Use a regular cord not an adapter. Below is an example of an approved cord for the monitor:
- If you have audio issues, plug your USB Headset in the USB 3.0 port. Then reboot in the upper right corner. Below is a pic of the USB 3.0 port. Again your headset must be USB, can not be wireless, cant use an audio jack, and cant have an adapter attached.
- If your headset, is not plugged in properly or not registering it will look like the first picture below. Be sure plug it in, reboot the device, and make sure its registering in the upper right hand corner. If it isnt registering, you can click on the sound and microphone icon in the upper right and corner and select your device (see second picture below). If you headset is not being registered after trying different USB ports and after restarting, you may need a different headset. Click here to see headsets that have success with Zero Client.
- If your headset is being registered but cant hear callers, try to adjust your site sound settings. Go to the website you are having issues with and click the left of the url, then click Site Settings. Allow microphone, popups, and sound. Then refresh the webpage.
- If your computer just spins and does not pull up a login screen, its because of one of two reasons.
Option 1: Your ethernet cord is not registering (first picture below). Plug in your ethernet cord, wait a few min, and you should get to the login screen (second picture below). If you dont get to the login page, reboot, and see if you can access the login screen. If not, either your ethernet cord isnt functioning properly or isnt plugged in correctly. Check both ethernet connects.
Option 2: Shutdown your device in the upper right corner. While the device is turned off, unplug your ethernet cord, wait a few minutes, turn on the device without the ethernet cord plugged in. Wait for a min, plug in the ethernet cord, and wait. The login screen should appear.
