Omni SRW - First Time Downloading, Installing, and Daily Login Procedure
For GBAs, strong security is essential when collaborating with clients on the Omni Platform. It protects sensitive data, prevents breaches, and ensures compliance with regulations. Ultimately, a secure work environment is vital for maintaining professional integrity and achieving long-term business success. To ensure you are properly setting up the Omni SRW (Secure Remote Worker) follow the steps below.
Download & Install the Omni SRW
1. Remove Previous SRWs
If you've partnered with another client on the Omni Platform before and have a previously downloaded version of SRW or a different SRW, you will need to uninstall it, and re-install the Omni SRW. To properly uninstall you will:
- Click on your Start Menu

- In the Search Bar, search for: 'Add or Remove Programs' and click on it.

- Look for the 'Secure Remote Worker' application and click 'Uninstall'

- Click 'Uninstall' again

- If you receive a windows message asking 'Are you sure you want to remove this program or application?' click on the 'Yes' option
- You will receive a pop-up message letting you know that a reboot or restart is needed for your PC. Even if you don't receive this message, to ensure proper uninstallation please reboot or restart your PC anyway.


- After your PC restarts, click on your Start Menu

- In the Search Bar search for: 'File Explorer' and click on it.

- Towards the bottom of the left hand menu click on the 'This PC' option and then double click the option that has (C:) within it
- In the file folder section look for the folder labeled 'Program Files (x86)' and double click on it

- Find the folder labeled 'SRW' right-click on it and then select the 'Delete' option in the menu that pops up

- Towards the bottom of the left hand menu click on the 'This PC' option and then double click the option that has (C:) within it again

- Look for the folder label 'Program Files' and double click on it

- Find the folder labeled 'Thinscale' right-click on it and then select the 'Delete' option in the menu that appears

- Finally, click on your Start Menu one more time, the power icon, and then restart your PC one more time to ensure the changes take place.

After you have successfully removed any previous versions of SRW you are now ready to download SRW.
2. Download, Install and Log into the Omni SRW
- Click on the link: https://my.thinscale.com/bly/gx3j2T
- A new tab in Google Chrome should open for you and the download should automatically start

- Click on the file in the download section in the top right to open it OR go to your File Explorer in the Downloads folder and double click it from there to open it


- Click on the 'Yes' option when you see the 'Do you want to allow this app to make changes on your device?' pop-up window

- Click the 'Install' option on the installer window

- Click on the 'Reboot' option after the registration process completes

- You should now see the 'Omni Secure Remote Worker' icon on your Desktop; double-click on it to open it. If it does not open after double clicking you can right-click on the icon and select the 'Open' option in the menu that pops up


- Save anything you are currently working on on your PC, as you will have to 'Logout' of your PC to log into the SRW. Click on the 'Logout' option once you have saved all other work.

- Allow the SRW to go through the launch process; you should then see a 'Software updates available' window, click on the 'Install' option

- After installing all necessary updates you should see a 'Let's get started' window, click on the 'Subscribe' option

- A 'Sign in' window should open, enter your full @omnigba.com email address, then click 'Next'
- Enter your Omni SSO password
- Approve the MFA Push as needed
- After you have successfully logged in, you should now see an icon for your line of business. Clients available through Omni SRW are:
- Alivi Health
- Avidex
- Black Rifle Coffee Company
- CFA GT
- CFA US
- EyeMed Hawaii
- Fairmarkit
- Nutrafol
- Pango
- PetMeds Express
- SafeRide US & PR
- TFE
- Ensure your displays are set appropriately, right-click on your client's desktop icon and click on the 'Settings' option

- Turn the 'use default settings' to 'off'. Click on the dropdown arrow under the 'Display configuration' setting and select the 'select display' option and choose the displays you would like to use for the client. Once you have set your displays you can click on the 'X' icon next to the 'Central USA' option and then double click on your client's desktop icon to open it.
- Select the 'Yes' option in the 'Allow remote desktop connection?' window, and then click 'Ok' on the 'Omni Interactions, Inc - Authorized Use Only' message


- You should now see your Omni Interactions virtual desktop home screen.

- Click on the 'Omni Tools' icon and log into Microsoft Teams to stay connected with your team, and open other Omni Tools as needed


3. Daily Login Procedure
After the first time setup and log into the Omni SRW you will complete the steps below as your daily login procedure.
- Check for PC Updates; this includes Regular Updates & Optional Updates. Review the Omnipedia Article: Updating Windows PCs for more information on updating your PC.
- Double click on the Omni SRW icon or right-click and select 'Open' to open it


- Save any work you have on your personal desktop, then click on the 'Logout' option

- Sign in with your @omnigba.com email, your Omni SSO password, and authenticate through MFA as needed

- Double-click on your client's desktop icon

- Select the 'Yes' option in the 'Allow remote desktop connection?' window, and then click 'Ok' on the 'Omni Interactions, Inc - Authorized Use Only' message

- Click on the 'Omni Tools' icon and log into your Omni Tools as needed, such as Microsoft Teams, Omni Email, and Zoho Help Center (Omnipedia)

- Double Click on your client's folder and open your client tools as needed
- SRW does not work on Macs.
- A smartphone is required for dual-factor MFA authentication.
- CTRL + ALT + TAB has been disabled because there is no password to unlock the system due to SSO. Any time you walk away from the computer, you must log out.
- The SRW will automatically log our GBAs out after 15 minutes of inactivity, and GBA will need to relaunch completely.
