Zero Client Freezing Issue
If your zero client devices freezes up in the middle of the call, please do the following:
- Push and hold for 2-3 seconds to shut down the device
- Verify all your cords are plugged in tightly
- On your personal computer, go to speedtest.net and verify your speeds download speed is more than 50mbps and your download is more than 10mbps. If your speed is lower than you were expecting, restart your modem and router for 1 minute then plug it back in. Wait another 2-3 minutes for your internet to come back on. Then test again. If your speeds still low or lower than you expected, contact your internet service provider. Below is an example of great internet service:
- If your internet speeds look good, go back to your device and turn it on. (Additionally, limit the number of people that are using the internet while you are working)
- Try logging into a different server (central, east, or east2). If you cant, follow the steps below. If you can login, try to take some calls.
If you freeze up again or cant log into the server, please open a ticket with DESD by using the chat bot in the bottom right hand corner (if you havent already done so) and tell them the following:
- When your computer froze, what were you doing right before the issue happened?
- Were you able to take calls for a while and then randomly it froze? Was it your first call?
- How long were you logged in before it froze?
- Were you in the central, east, or east 2?
- Send a picture of your speedtest.net internet speed result on your personal computer, not the zero client device.
Your patience is greatly appreciated!
