Wingspan personal and account information

Wingspan personal and account information

Why do you need my personal information?

Our payment partner, Wingspan, collects your W-9 information for tax purposes. The SSN is also known as a Tax Identification Number (TIN). In order to create accurate tax forms like a 1099-NEC, the IRS requires the form to have a valid SSN.

What if I already have a Wingspan account?

We can link your accounts together! Submit a ticket to the earnings team and we can update the email address associated with your invite.

Adding or Updating Your Payout Methods

If you need to add a new payout method, you can click Payout & Payment Methods under Settings, and then click the Add payout method button:

Payment Methods and Frequency

There are three payment options: Direct deposit, Instant payout, and Wingspan Wallet.  Direct deposit pay times are subject to normal bank processing timelines.

Instant Payout

Instant payouts allow you to receive money to an eligible U.S. bank account or Visa/Mastercard debit card, typically within 90 minutes. A 2% fee is deducted from the payment amount for each instant payout.

Wingspan Wallet

Wingspan Wallet is a business bank account where you can deposit funds and use a virtual or physical debit card to make purchases. Note: This is a sepparate payment option available to you.
