TurboTax Tech Day- Virtual Velma

This article will display how to access, use, and pin the Virtual Velma Chat in Microsoft Teams. 

Accessing Velma Through the Link

Click on Virtual Velma to open in Teams.
If the link doesn't work, follow the instructions for Accessing Velma Through the App

Accessing Velma Through the App

Step 1: Click the Ellipses

In Microsoft Teams, click on the three dots (ellipses) in the left side panel. 



Step 2: Locate the App

Scroll down the list of apps to locate and click on Virtual Velma to open.



Step 3: Begin Using Velma

Type in a keyword to get Velma to respond. 



Using Velma

Step 1: Use Keywords

Velma works better with keywords instead of long questions. 
In the chat, type a keyword and hit enter on your keyboard or click the airplane. 
Example: AGI 



Step 2: Chat with Velma

Follow the prompts and answer the questions. 



Step 3: Review the Information

Once Velma narrows down your inquiry, she will provide you with a link to an article. Click on the link to the article and review it. 



Step 4: Feedback

Once you review the article, go back to the Virtual Velma chat and rate your experience from 1 (worst)- 5(best). This allows Velma to give more accurate information, and the more you use her the better she gets!



Pinning Virtual Velma

Step 1: Locate Velma

Locate Velma's chat in the left panel of Microsoft Teams Chat



Step 2: Click the Ellipses

Hover your mouse over the chat and then click on the three dots (ellipses).



Step 3: Pin Velma

Click on Pin to pin the chat to the top. 



Step 4: Check Pinned Chats

Once you click pin, the chat will be placed under Pinned.

Virtual Velma will be able to provide more accurate answers the more it is used and through the feedback.
