How do I set up my Payroll account

How do I set up my Payroll account

This article will provide you with a walk through to set up your account on Deel. This is the system we use to receive our payments.

How does it work?

Deel acts as an intermediary between the client (Omni Interactions) and the contractor (you). Omni transfers your payment to Deel, and from there, within your account, you are able to transfer it to a local bank.

To be able to get these transfers done, you need to set up an account with them.

1. Go to https://www.deel.com/

You may find the site on another language, scroll to the bottom, on the left hand side you will find a button to change it.
Click on the Get Started button.

2. Select the type of account you will use.

This is regarding the type of activities you will have, are you a business, a contractor, or an employee. In this case, select contractor (you are an independent service provider after all).

3. Sign up.

You will input your information here,  You need to either sign in with your Google account or create one from scratch. Note: Remember this is the sign on you will use from now on so make sure to keep the information somewhere safe.

If you don't sign in with your Google account, you will need to provide:
  1. First name
  2. Last name
  3. email address
  4. A Password

After you´ve input this information, click on the Create Account button. You will receive a confirmation email which you must reply.

4. Two Factor Verification

Deel is a platform that provides tools for businesses to manage their global remote workforce. One important aspect of managing a remote workforce is ensuring the security of company data and assets. One way to enhance the security of Deel accounts is to set up two-factor authentication (2FA).

Here's how to set up 2FA on Deel:

Step 1. Log in to your Deel account using your email and password.

Step 2. Click on your profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

Step 3. In the "Settings" menu, select "Security" from the left-hand menu.

Step 4. In the "Security" menu, click the "Enable" button next to "Two-Factor Authentication."

Step 5. Choose the type of 2FA you want to use. Deel supports two types of 2FA: SMS-based and app-based.

  • If you choose SMS-based, you will need to enter your phone number and then enter the code that is sent to you via SMS when you log in to your Deel account.
  • If you choose app-based, you will need to download and install an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy. Once installed, scan the QR code displayed on the screen using the app, and enter the code generated by the app when you log in to your Deel account.

Step 6.

That´s it, you´re ready to go.
