Scheduling- Adding and Dropping Shifts on the App

How to Add a Shift from the Humanity app

From the Dashboard, shifts you are scheduled for appear at the top of the screen and available shifts by date and time appear at the bottom.
  1. Scroll through and tap on a shift to select it. You want to ensure you are selecting the correct production program for the day and time you have in mind (Typically, you will only work one program at a time with Omni).
  2. Click Request open shift.  
  3. The message "Shift you are requesting will become yours automatically. Do you want to proceed?" will appear. 
  4. Your shift will be automatically added to your schedule. You can view it from the Dashboard or the Shift Planning Tabs.  

Shift Intervals

Please be aware that different programs have different shift requirements. In the previous example, you could select one-hour intervals to work. Other programs might require you to pick up a minimum shift of 3-hour intervals, for example.

Drop Shift Policy

  1. You can drop your shift up to 48 hrs prior to the shift start.
  2. Omni tracks GBA Hours Adherence. As a general rule GBA’s that do not fulfill the 90% shift adherence 5 out of 6 weeks may be removed from the Omni platform.
  3. Shifts not worked will be counted towards GBA Hours Adherence.

How to Drop a Shift (with more than 48 hrs notice)

  1. From the Dashboard, click on the shift you would like to drop to view Shift Details.
  2. Click Can't Work.  
  3. If the system will allow you, the shift will be removed automatically.  If not, you will need to email wfm@oiteam.com and ask for the shift to be removed.
